The house used to be a Museum, but the Landmarks Center is transitioning its use for weddings and receptions.
Today we found out that the 4 beautiful garden beds by the north side of the house are going to become a paved area for reception tents. These beds were just planted a year ago by garden volunteers. Many of the volunteers were there today when we found out. You could hear a collective *SIGH*. I felt bad for them.
My job was to move several of the plants in those beds to the rose garden on the southwest corner of the lot. The other volunteers moved plants to the few garden beds that are left. It took about 3 hours to get all of those plants moved.
I was so tired I didn't even ride my bike today!
I wonder what we will do next week . . .
