Cooking with Julia
Last night we hosted the Cooking with Julia event, celebrating Julia Child's 100th Birthday. Bob, Gary, Tim and Greg joined us.
I started cooking at 12 noon and finished at 7! The menu included Poulet Poele a l'Estragon, French Onion Soup, and Reine de Saba (Chocolate and Almond Cake).
We had a blast drinking 4 kinds of wine, eating dinner and watching the movie Julie and Julia with Meryl Streep. There were several funny lines in the movie including "Who's to see?" (after spilling the egg omelet while flipping it and then putting it back in the pan), "No one needs to know!" and "If you're afraid of butter, use cream."
Today I did nothing; I was exhausted!
