Edith Windsor and the end of DOMA!
We still have a long way to go to get equality in Indiana. A vast majority of Republican legislators in Indiana are working to pass HJR-6, which would alter the Indiana Constitution to prevent marriage equality. But hopefully our legislators will abandon HJR-6. We all deserve to live in a state that doesn’t write inequality into its Constitution.
I hope Tony and I will get to see marriage equality in Indiana in our lifetime, and all of the benefits that go with that.
UPDATE: I just asked Tony if he would marry me if it's ever allowed in Indiana, and he said, YES! Cmon, Indiana! The clock is ticking.
