I just watched the Apple Keynote, which was surprisingly short, just over an hour. There was a review of the new features in iOS7, as well as what's new with iWork, iPhoto, and iMovie, which will now be free apps on any new iOS 7 device.
The biggest news, no surprise here, was the introduction of two new iPhones, the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C, the new lower cost phone which comes in 5 colors. You can read about the 5C here.
I'm excited about the 5S, with a cool new champagne/gold color, a much improved camera, faster speed and graphics, and best of all, TouchID, which uses fingerprint authentication, and you can even purchase media from iTunes using your fingerprint. No passcode and no swiping! There's also a new app from Nike called Nike+Move which takes advantage of the new accelerometer, gyroscope and compass in the 5S. I wonder if it will take the place of my Nike FuelBand? You can see the video of the 5S here.
The 5C can be ordered on September 13, and the 5S on the 20th. And yes, I will be ordering one! Wouldn't you be surprised if I didn't?
Guess I'll have to wait for the iWatch.
