What a Birthday!
Today I turned 65. I still can't believe it. There has to be some mistake. But no, it's true. I'll admit, I was a little depressed when it first happened. I mean, I'm on Medicare! But then I thought: I am so fortunate! In my lifetime I've had the best parents anyone could ask for, the best brothers (for the most part), the best sons and grandkids one could have, the best teaching job for 34 years, amazing (and some very sexy) friends, and 3 incredible partners, one of whom is now the sweetest husband in the world to me.
For one of my birthday gifts, my husband Tony gave me a DVD which was created from 3 home movies that have been lying around the house for over 30 years. They include my son Cyle's 1st and 2nd birthday, and my son Cory's 1st birthday. They won't mean anything to you, but they are precious to me. If you're bored, go ahead and watch, but beware, there are 70s fashions. And, my hair was so dark and full.
And, to top it off, I received over 200 birthday wishes from family, friends and former students on Facebook. Thank you all!
It doesn't get any better than this! When you're 65, I hope you can say the same thing.
