Bikeshare Goes Online Tomorrow!
While cycling today I talked with a couple of folks who were testing the Bikeshare system. One lady said the bikes are a little heavy, but it's for security reasons. The guy I talked to, who was quite tall, said the bike wasn't the right size for him, but if he was an out-of-towner renting the bike, he'd be OK with it for 30 minutes or so. This program will get Indianapolis up to speed with other major metro areas.
Bikes are available by purchasing either a 24-hour pass ($8) or an annual membership ($80). The passes give you access to a bike for unlimited 30-minute trips. Trips more than 30 minutes incur extra fees of $2 for 30-60 minutes and $4 for each additional 30 minutes.
