A wonderful and teary-eyed experience!
Last night Tony and I visited Mark Lee's exhibit at the Indiana Historical Society, A Visual Journey: From AIDS to Marriage Equality. I was overwhelmed. The photography was beautiful, and it captured the moment of each scene. Many photos were blown up to life-size and covered the walls of the museum's 4th Floor.
I was teary-eyed looking at the photos from the 1980s, seeing the faces of people I had not seen since then. Sadly, many of them have passed on. But it was a glorious tribute to all of those who helped bring Marriage Equality in the United States to our LGBT Community, and hopefully soon we will have equal rights in Indiana.
Thank you to Mark and the Indiana Historical Staff for putting together this outstanding exhibit. If you haven't seen it, please do! The exhibit will be open through November 14.
